Ease of use makes Pikstik outshine other grabbers available. With its unique pre-locking mechanism, you simply press down on the locking lever before grabbing your item and the jaws stay locked until you release them. This is so much easier then trying to grab and then lock. This reacher also has an easy to use rotating head so you can line up the jaws with the handle, or at a 90 degree angle. With the jaws in line with the handle (up and down) it is easy to reach behind things, like your washer or fridge. Excellent Reacher -- Terrible Vendor January 23, 2008

The PikStik Industrial is an excellent quality reacher. I own two of these that I purchased from [...] at a very reasonable price.
I had earlier tried to purchase two of these from eGeneralMedical, but they were out of stock, and they sent me PikStik Pros instead of PikStik Industrials without asking me first if they could substitute. The PikStik Pros have a different handle design from the Industrial, and with my arthritic hands, the Pro is painful to use, while the Industrial is quite comfortable.
When I contacted eGeneralMedical about getting the wrong product, they said they sent the Pros "by mistake" and that I should keep them "for my inconvenience" and they would refund my money in full including the shipping charge. This sounded OK even though I had no use for the PikStik Pros. Unfortunately, I never got the refund, and for several months, no one at eGeneralMedical would respond to my email messages and phone calls. I finally managed to get in touch with their Customer Service Manager, and he again promised to arrange my refund, but again it didn't happen. When I filed a complaint with the BBB about this, eGeneralMedical responded to the BBB with a statement containing nothing but lies, and since eGeneralMedical is not a BBB member, the BBB couldn't do anything about it.
I'd recommend avoiding eGeneralMedical as they don't appear to be ethical or customer oriented.
