High quality, very light weight. December 17, 2008 Very high quality design, materials, workmanship, and appearance. The extremely light weight is very helpful for moving and storing the chair, but may impair stability and durability in heavy outdoor use. As the caregiver (not the patient), it has been a wonderful relief for my old, aching back!
SUPERB WHEELCHAIR! October 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When purchased, this was the lightest transport wheelchair available! High quality aircraft aluminum helps when lifting and storing with one arm.
The seat is higher and wider than some competitors, making it more comfortable for larger, heavier people; and both easier to sit down in, and to stand up from, than some competitor's chairs.
My model has folding handles, (they drop down) and of course the chair folds.
The foot-rests come off easily to make it lighter to lift with one arm, and more compact which requires less storage space in vehicles. No locking levers and springs to fight with or manipulate. They simply sit on posts and lift off, straight up without any problem. Very simple!
My model has a multi-pocket storage system behind the back of the seat for carrying goodies & keeping them nearby. It also came with a mount-anywhere drink holder for cans or bottles of your favorite beverage, or other items.
Everything appears to be top-notch quality. All seat stitching and mechanical apparatus appears to be high quality and assembled with professional craftsmanship without flaws.
To sum it up, it's delightful to use!
Get Around Better. August 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is a great chair to get around in my apartment, where the doors are too small for a wheelchair. It is sturdy and well made. It even has pockets on the back to store a few things. I like the way it breaks down for easy hauling and storage and it is very light, but handles my near 290lb weight very well. The smaller wheels make it a little harder to get over rises,(such as weatherstriping in doorways, etc.), if you have a need for that, you can order different models with bigger wheels, but you will pay more for them and I am not sure they would make that much difference. All in All an excellent buy at any price, which delivers as advertised.
